What was your "uh-oh" moment in 2025?

Similar. JJM went from "clutch" to "cringe" in one week (granted, when he also became a father), and Atlanta was able to run right through our defense practically unchecked.

The whole team looked "off", and the dysfunction was on full display.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

Funny how your stat of his total yardage was the nail in the coffin, but you fail to remember the following:

1) McCarthy won the game, on the road, against an NFC foe (turns out the team that won the division), and in Primetime in his first NFL start
2) McCarthy became the first Vikings quarterback to account for two or more touchdowns in his debut since Tarkenton did in 1961
3) McCarthy was the first player in NFL history to account for three touchdowns in the fourth quarter of his debut
4) McCarthy was the first to throw two touchdown passes of at least 10 yards and rush for a touchdown of at least 10 yards in the fourth quarter

To the original post, I'd say Atlanta's game as well.  It was a debacle for the o line, McCarthy's injury on a "hip-drop" tackle, and KO looked like he was playing the Rams/Lions with Darnold at the helm allowing his QB to get ransacked and the defense looked soft and out of place without a couple key players.

We all need to remember that the NFC North was a very difficult division in '25 again and we lost out of the playoffs because of one play against the second Bears' game.  If we make the playoffs, what happens?  Does McCarthy play and turn into the winner he always has been and win a game under KO?  We won't ever know...

Yeah I've stopped trying to bring up JJ's wins and his 6-4 record as a starter because some here have made their decision already on him. And the offensive line injuries. And the RB injuries. And Addison's suspension. And....you get my drift. Not to mention how he played once KOC shut up about his mechanics.

Its all stinks to me, but O'Connell has made his choice. When Vikings move on to other teams and become ex-Vikings, I don't follow them or root for them. That will change for me with McCarthy when he leaves. He deserves better. But onward.....

The not starting the starters in preseason to get JJM some more game reps was questionable. The Darrisaw not really ready to start but starting was questionable.

But the moment I knew we were in for a long season was after the 2nd game, and JJM had the sprained ankle and the DL got ran over. You just knew things weren’t going to plan at all. You knew we were starting Wentz for like a month and he’d only been in the building for a couple weeks.

In the spring I took a rare hit on the hopium pipe.  Mmmmm, looks like 11 wins is on the radar!

But by July and August the high wore off and I was feeling like something was not right.  There were just a bunch of bad signs.  I went back to thinking it was gonna be a .500 team.

It was objectively worse than that until those last games versus weaklings gave them an easy path to salvaging wins.  Not that they really mattered at that point.
