Bring the manufacturing back to our country.  Fix the uneven tariffs.  Fix the tax breaks.

I have heard one president pushing for this.  And it isn’t the ones pushing for globalism.
But no solutions.

How do you bring back manufacturing whike embracing capitalism?

Corporations are going to seek out the cheapest costs to make goods.  American labor vs Chinese labor isn’t even close.  So either you ask American workers to take huge pay cuts, or you raise the prices of the goods companies are going to sell.

What do you suggest?

That “manufacturing economy” ship sailed decades ago and isn’t coming back.  Technology, service and experience industries are now our strengths.

Actions speak louder then words

Capitalism is just a money making scheme, its not in the constitution or in a religious dogma.  It's also a game called monopoly, which really sucks unless your the banker and working shit under the table or playing for shots.    I love the con-men spouting the value of intrinsic value things.  Gold has value because some ancient rulers coveted it, it can't feed you, won't keep you warm or cool without crushing you, can't run your car with it and in today's low power systems it has very little value as a conductor.   There are many more rare earth minerals that provide more desirable traits, most of which are mined in China.

As far as manufacturing, the capability of production is not the issue, efficiency/productivity is the key.    Got my beer goggles on,  so I just deleted two paragraphs of well thought out and really important shit that would have made Benjamin Graham smarter and more influential.  So with that I say good night.

Scumbag Martin Shkreli trying to use the Covid situation to his advantage.  His sentence should be extended with this ploy.  He is a hedge fund manager and CEO not a scientists/physician/medical professional.
Weinstein and Avenetti tried this too.
Seriously??  WTF.  Again, extend their sentences based on false claims or something (not a lawyer obviously)

Ask the churchgoers if they were their seatbelts en route to church that day.

Not only is that completely disgusting, some calling this “satan’s” tool to keep people out of church, but it’s dangerous to all of us.  Longer people fuck around, longer it will take for us to get back to normal.

What’s also pathetic is the administration allowing churches the ability to reach out for SBA loans.  Now, that doesn’t mean that the religion is bad, but there will no doubt be “church/religious organizations” who will look to take advantage of tax payer dollars DESPITE them never having to put in.  And before anyone gets on me about Trump, I am confident the other party would have done the same.  How many small businesses will miss out on bailout money because it has been sent to Joel Olsteen, Jim Baker, or Falwell?

I feel no sympathy for those who decide to attend, that go, and get sick.  Why not just wait until this is over.

Arrogance of man
Wow, I didn't even realize this was the case and had to look up and verify.  Talk about protecting our Constitution and the separation of church and state.

"Our country's founders -- who were of different religious backgrounds themselves -- knew the best way to protect religious liberty was to keep the government out of religion. So they created the First Amendment -- to guarantee the separation of church and state."

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus...r-salaries

In a development that could challenge the Constitution's prohibition of any law "respecting an establishment of religion," the federal government will soon provide money directly to U.S. churches to help them pay pastor salaries and utility bills.
A key part of the $2 trillion economic relief legislation enacted last month includes about $350 billion for the Small Business Administration to extend loans to small businesses facing financial difficulties as a result of the coronavirus shutdown orders. Churches and other faith-based organizations, classified as "businesses," qualify for aid under the program, even if they have an exclusively religious orientation.
"Faith-based organizations are eligible to receive SBA loans regardless of whether they provide secular social services," the SBA said in a statement. "No otherwise eligible organization will be disqualified from receiving a lo Under the new Paycheck Protection Program, businesses with fewer than 500 employees, including faith-based organizations, are eligible to receive loans of up to $10 million, with at least 75% of the money going to cover payroll costs. The loans are in large part forgivable, so churches and other houses of worship won't have to worry about paying all the money back.an because of the religious nature, religious identity, or religious speech of the organization."
So the Olsteens, Bakers,Falwells and other carnival barkers are going to be able to bilk us taxpayers to cover their "salaries" and payroll.   We certainly are the country of unchecked capitalism and the almighty $$$.
Then the suckers who believe these charlatans will be giving their Covid checks to them as well.

LOL google Weinstein coronavirus.  A ton of places said he tested positive.  He wanted to get out to protect the prison population.  It is unclear if he actually was tested - not sure how he could have been or why he would have been.

Avenatti requested a judge let him out for the fear of catching it.  Novel coronavirus argument I suppose.

Typical scumbags.  But this Shkreli guy takes the cake IMO.  He is trying to say he can help research a cure for the Covid???  He is not a scientists he is a hedge fund manager and con artists.  Just because he was a CEO of a scam pharma company he thinks he is in a position of discovery?  A modern day snake-oil salesman.

Yes I don’t disagree.  But his crime is far less than what Weinstein did to women.

https://abc7.com/coronavirus-drug-covid-19-malaria-hydroxychloroquine/6079864/

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles doctor said he is seeing significant success in prescribing the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc to treat patients with severe symptoms of COVID-19.

Hydroxychloroquine has been touted as a possible treatment for COVID-19 by President Trump among others, but it remains controversial as some experts believe it is unproven and may not be effective.

The drug has long been used for treatment of malaria and conditions such as lupus and arthritis but is not technically approved by the FDA for COVID-19. The agency, however, is encouraging trials and has provided limited emergency authorization for its use to treat COVID-19 patients.

Dr. Anthony Cardillo said he has seen very promising results when prescribing hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc for the most severely-ill COVID-19 patients.

"Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free," Cardillo told Eyewitness News. "So clinically I am seeing a resolution."

Cardillo is the CEO of Mend Urgent Care, which has locations in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys and Burbank.

He said he has found it only works if combined with zinc. The drug, he said, opens a channel for the zinc to enter the cell and block virus replication.

MORE GREAT NEWS IN LINK!

It seems like they have figured out the supply issues - we have close to 30 million doses ready to go!

Because MME fighters and fans are immune?  What a dumb ass,  I am actually pretty supportive of tribal rights and sovereignty,  but IMO since its the federal govt on the hook for paying for tribal health care,  and this is in direct violation of federal health guidelines,  any indian reservation that would flaunt the rules like this should have their govt run health facility funding with held for a period of time or have it cut by a % like they did with states that didnt follow federal drinking age guidelines.

Hell I heard yesterday that Pine Ridge Reservation has actually set up check points at the main roads in/out of the res and are not allowing anybody onto their reservation regardless of reason or intent to stay or just pass through.  They are also on lock down for their own residents.  That tribal council is taking this thing very serious.
