"Our country's founders -- who were of different religious backgrounds themselves -- knew the best way to protect religious liberty was to keep the government out of religion. So they created the First Amendment -- to guarantee the separation of church and state." https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus...r-salaries In a development that could challenge the Constitution's prohibition of any law "respecting an establishment of religion," the federal government will soon provide money directly to U.S. churches to help them pay pastor salaries and utility bills. A key part of the $2 trillion economic relief legislation enacted last month includes about $350 billion for the Small Business Administration to extend loans to small businesses facing financial difficulties as a result of the coronavirus shutdown orders. Churches and other faith-based organizations, classified as "businesses," qualify for aid under the program, even if they have an exclusively religious orientation. "Faith-based organizations are eligible to receive SBA loans regardless of whether they provide secular social services," the SBA said in a statement. "No otherwise eligible organization will be disqualified from receiving a lo Under the new Paycheck Protection Program, businesses with fewer than 500 employees, including faith-based organizations, are eligible to receive loans of up to $10 million, with at least 75% of the money going to cover payroll costs. The loans are in large part forgivable, so churches and other houses of worship won't have to worry about paying all the money back.an because of the religious nature, religious identity, or religious speech of the organization." So the Olsteens, Bakers,Falwells and other carnival barkers are going to be able to bilk us taxpayers to cover their "salaries" and payroll. We certainly are the country of unchecked capitalism and the almighty $$$. Then the suckers who believe these charlatans will be giving their Covid checks to them as well.

Yes I don’t disagree. But his crime is far less than what Weinstein did to women.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles doctor said he is seeing significant success in prescribing the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc to treat patients with severe symptoms of COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine has been touted as a possible treatment for COVID-19 by President Trump among others, but it remains controversial as some experts believe it is unproven and may not be effective. The drug has long been used for treatment of malaria and conditions such as lupus and arthritis but is not technically approved by the FDA for COVID-19. The agency, however, is encouraging trials and has provided limited emergency authorization for its use to treat COVID-19 patients. Dr. Anthony Cardillo said he has seen very promising results when prescribing hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc for the most severely-ill COVID-19 patients. "Every patient I've prescribed it to has been very, very ill and within 8 to 12 hours, they were basically symptom-free," Cardillo told Eyewitness News. "So clinically I am seeing a resolution." Cardillo is the CEO of Mend Urgent Care, which has locations in Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys and Burbank. He said he has found it only works if combined with zinc. The drug, he said, opens a channel for the zinc to enter the cell and block virus replication. MORE GREAT NEWS IN LINK! It seems like they have figured out the supply issues - we have close to 30 million doses ready to go!

Because MME fighters and fans are immune? What a dumb ass, I am actually pretty supportive of tribal rights and sovereignty, but IMO since its the federal govt on the hook for paying for tribal health care, and this is in direct violation of federal health guidelines, any indian reservation that would flaunt the rules like this should have their govt run health facility funding with held for a period of time or have it cut by a % like they did with states that didnt follow federal drinking age guidelines.
Hell I heard yesterday that Pine Ridge Reservation has actually set up check points at the main roads in/out of the res and are not allowing anybody onto their reservation regardless of reason or intent to stay or just pass through. They are also on lock down for their own residents. That tribal council is taking this thing very serious. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mma/reports-dana-white-plans-to-hold-ufc-249-on-california-tribal-land-in-effort-to-bypass-covid-19-safety-regulations/ar-BB12i9Xu?li=BBnba9I |
