Well, they are backups for a reason. Nice upgrade for the swing OT. If Brandel can focus all offseason and through camp at center and draft a guy to compete with him, we should be ok at that spot. Ultimately, I'd rather see a true center get that starting spot, but lets see how it plays out.

We need to find Brandel a permanent spot or likely lose him after this year.  He's played well enough that somebody would pay him much better, might as well see if he can fill a bigger need and pay him ourselves than lose him,  and start over with a greater unknown.  I do still say we grab an IOL and OT in the draft though.

I think we'll likely draft a center in the middle rounds to compete with him, but this is a contract year for Brandel. If he wins the competition and has a good year at center, he will get a very nice pay day.
