He ain't wrong. But teams are so desperate for a franchise QB they'll ignore all this and pay him $30M just on the sliver of hope that he might be.

So we had both a Superbowl winning QB AND a guy asking for $50 per on our roster....ouch.

Daniel Jones’ camp entered negotiations asking for $50M per season on a new contract, per

This why I think Malik Willis is fools gold for whatever team signs him. Green Bay didn't develop him into a passer, they adjusted their scheme to play to his strengths. They leaned heavy into Jacobs and their run game and just asked Willis to execute some play action passes and use his legs to keep the chains moving. Maybe another team like Cleveland can offer a stout defense and strong run game to support him, but he's not the type of QB that is going to win you games throwing it 35+ times.

Once the Colts traded two firsts for Gardner, they lost all Draft ammunition for a QB.
With no other options on their roster or on the market, it gave Jones extraordinary leverage.
And he is using it.

Malik Willis is signing a three-year deal worth $67.5 million that includes $45 million guaranteed, per source.
