Roethlisberger says Steelers line sucks. Picks the Vikings.
#1
Big Ben says it could be a long day for ARod.

"'Olé!' Roethlisberger torches Steelers’ left tackle, flips pick to Vikings"

"Want to see me not touch anybody?" Roethlisberger quipped about Steelers left tackler Broderick Jones.

Steelers great Ben Roethlisberger is picking the Vikings to beat the Steelers on Sunday, mainly because he's extremely concerned about Pittsburgh's starting left tackle Broderick Jones.

"Olé! Olé! Want to see me not touch anybody?" Roethlisberg quipped about Jones on his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger.

"I don't think the line is giving him enough time, and I think it starts with that left tackle," Roethlisberger said, referring to Jones, who has allowed an NFL-high four sacks through three games.

On Thursday, we covered five key stats about Aaron Rodgers under pressure. He's Pro Football Focus' lowest-graded quarterback when under pressure, having completed just 6-of-22 passes while being sacked seven times and throwing a pair of interceptions. According to PFF, 33% of the pressure is coming from rushers blowing by Jones at left tackle.

"I think that the Steelers are afraid to take shots down the field because that forces your quarterback to stay in the pocket and hold it a little bit longer. I don't think the line's playing well enough to do that. I think Aaron's getting the ball out of his hands because he doesn't trust what's going on," Roethlisberger said.

Well, ol' RoethlisBaconDoubleCheeseberger is right there with most of the bobbleheads I've watched this week: A-a-ron can't push the ball downfield due to lack of time, so he's effectively stuck in a "game manager" position. Flores seems to have his number, let's hope for another dominant win against the AFCN...!!
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

Is it just me and my fantasy team, or does it seem like there are really good defenses everywhere in the NFL this year? Vikings, Packers, Browns, Chargers, Broncos, Seahawks. And I'm not even mentioning the typically good defenses like the Eagles, Ravens, etc. I read somewhere that NFL offenses this year have the fewest yards per game since 2006.

I gotta see if it holds for an entire year or not....

Part of me thinks that (at least early on) its due to so little activity from the #1's on offense in pre-season anymore.

Apparently Ben didn't see us give up 12 sacks in 3 games, including 3 sacks with Darrisaw vs Cincy. Our pass blocking has been pretty crap too.

I don't have a great feeling about tomorrow's game, contrary to what most on the board are feeling.

Could the Vikings drop this one? They sure as hell could. It's the NFL, every team is good. All it would take is a bad game from Wentz and that's not hard to see. Plus, the Steelers have two studs in their front seven (Heyward and Watt) and two in the secondary (Slay and Ramsey).

But that's where it ends for them...on paper anyway. They rank 30th on offense and 28th on defense. Rodgers is a shell of his former self. Their offensive line is bottom third, they have no RB to fear, Metcalf is their only weapon. Justin Fields played well against them in the opener. They were dominated by Seattle two weeks ago and they don't win last week without 5 whacky turnovers committed by the Pats.

Yes, we could lose this one, but if we do, it's going to be a LONG-ass season, because Cleveland is a much better team, and only after that do we start playing the good teams.

Yeah, you could be right. You seem to have a good bead on wins and losses week to week for the team, its probably my biggest weakness as a fan predicting things for wins. Again, really loving the 9:30 am EST start, excited to watch.
