Vikings faced the #1 Opposing team QB among the most last year.  More than 30% more often than the Titans.

Starters would be the preferred QB but obviously there are many situations where the "starter" misses games due to injury, etc and the second string graduates to "starter"

I think it is a stat with general interest but may not have a predictable impact on the team's overall record.

It does..but it comes from a National guy (Barnwell).  It really said that we won last year in spite of not getting a lot of injury breaks on opposing QBs.  We all know that playing teams without their starting QBs makes it easier to win...although the Vikings have historically made some backups look like Hall of Famers.

Yeah, I think all teams should face us with their unproven backups, that would be a good plan.

That's one way to look at it. I'd also say it gives you some added perspective on where your defense stands. If your defense is playing backups significantly more than league average your defense might not actually be as good as the numbers would bare. 

When talking about a certain former QB fans liked to point out how he was a numbers accumulator against bad defenses. Couldn't the same be said about defenses who had the luxury of going up against bench warmer QB's more than normal?
