not over, but hope for a competitive season is wanning quickly.  even if JJM comes back this week I dont think we have the horses to compete with detroit or green bay this year,  hell sweeping the bears will likely be our best accomplishment besides hopefully getting to get a real sense of JJMs pro potential.

Winning the season is JJM running the offense in a manner that looks like we no longer have question marks at the QB position by the seasons end. Everything after that is a bonus.

That said, I look at the rest of the season, which everyone says is tough, I think it’s got very few unwinnable games if we can start playing to our own standard of play. They’re mostly against good teams, but if JJM settles down after a couple more games and starts playing competently and the defense starts playing disciplined football again, it wouldn’t surprise me if we went on a run of winning games.

Might have to adjust those draft boards, could pick at #6 w/o the trade, schedule appears daunting.
