The Bears aimed to free up cap space (Moore had a $28.5 million cap hit for 2026) and move on after his production dropped in 2025, with younger options like Rome Odunze and Colston Loveland stepping up.

Sounds like the Bills are giving-up a mid-rd pick.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

the youngsters production is likely largely tied to having Moore pulling coverage his way.  Im not saying that Rome isnt a boss,  but I think they are going to regret this move.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Not sure if that's true.  However, Moore was disgruntled last season with his role.  Odunze was very productive until the foot injury and the Bears are super high on Luther Burden.  With Colston Loveland being another receiving weapon, Chicago probably thinks they can create some cap space, give their young guys more time to grow with Caleb, and have some extra ammo in the draft.

I know thats what they are thinking,  but I also know that defenses try and take away your best players which makes it easier for the others to put up stats.  No difference than with our own WR corps,  they double and triple Jets,  its means that the others need to be feeding or they need to be replaced.   I am not saying those guys are crap,  but I think Moore shifted safeties and tilted the field making life easier for the kids.  we will see if Rome is ready to be that guy for them.

Hopefully it blows up in their face.

But interestingly Moore has been traded twice now in his still young career.  Something must not be right.
