I'm.not sure that's the guy I'd take in the first round, but I wouldn't hate it and I like the position they are taking. The second round pick here is a home run.

I would rather they take Woods over Banks in that Rd1 scenario...

Rd2 Rodriguez over Price?? That would be a hard call for me too, depends on what we do in FA. Be nice not to have to draft a RB right away. Not sure if Price is a RB1?

I think that would be my preference also, but Banks certainly has the higher ceiling IMO. For a big man, his swim move is elite and his ability to get skinny on his way to the quarterback is impressive. 35" arms. Has some Marcus Stroud to him. Like I said, I'd be good with the pick as long as medicals check out.

Banks is classic boom or bust, and if I'm the Vikings I'm not sure I'm in the gambling mood this year.  Physically, he's Dexter Lawrence or Donkeykong Suh. He could also be Mazi Smith. A lot of character and consistency weirdness surrounding Banks. 

Rodriguez is one of "my guys" so I'd love him in the 2nd. You don't typically think of off-ball LB as an impact position, but I think it might be for this Flores defense. It's interesting to me how much players like Eric Wilson and Blake Cashman impact our defense. When they're out, our defense just isn't the same. When both are playing, the defense improves dramatically. Imagine Fred Warner next to Cashman. That's the player J-Rod is most frequently compared to.
