Darnold looked pedestrian
#1
After looking at the stat line and seeing that flub at the end of the game, I am starting to become a true believer in our QB whisperer.  Sammy did not light the world on fire against  the Niners. And he did not benefit from KOC in his ear.  Is this the real Sam Darnold?  If so, we saw the best of him last year and we are fortunate to have let nature take its course.

Oh I am fairly certain we've seen the best of Sam. I'm even more certain he wanted to play here but took the bag.

Wish him well, but not the Seahawks.

I mentioned that very word in describing him in my 'Observations' thread. But I think a bit might be they wanted to keep things safer for him, they tried to run a bunch and they didn't ask him to do that much....and in doing so, they didn't let him sling it a bit more which he can do well and get some chunk plays. So they had the governor on him a bit and I think that may have been the reason they came up short. They sucked on 3rd down: 3 for 10. Purdy was more than ready to give the game away yesterday, although he came up big when necessary. The Seattle papers are basically saying 'Same old Uncle Sammy at the end' with the fumble.

Long season ahead. But no narratives were changed yesterday for Sam.

...and Daniel Jones looked great. First game doesn't mean much. Man does Miami suck btw. I don't think McDaniels makes it through the season. His schtick is starting to get old.

Absolutely agreed on Miami/McDaniels..and maybe Tua. That team looks like it'll never live up to the potential of its personnel, which should spell the end for their HC.
It's officially SKOL SEASON!! LET THE PLUNDERING BEGIN!!

Don’t think anyone will ever accuse Darnold of having pocket awareness, same old same old…

Didn't watch the Sea-SF game, any idea what their O-Line was like. And are they on new coaches this year? Lots of change their, but their offense has been shit for a while now.

The personnel on Miami is pretty bad right now. In the running for 26 1st overall.

Anybody that didn't see sam returning to the mean was really watchng the latter 1/3 of the season last year, there were plenty of clues that the early games were more of a mirage. Which is to bad, I wanted him to flip the script, but it doesnt look to be the case.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
