Bryce Underwood is going to be a monster

He was a five-star QB recruit, and the consensus No. 1 overall ranked high school football player in the nation in the 2025 college football recruiting class. Only reason Michigan was able to secure a talent like this was because of NIL money (Dave Portnoy). Rave reviews already about him from Ann Arbor. He'll be an interesting watch the next few years. 6'4", 210 lbs. at 17 years old and athleticism off the chart. Big arm. Fits the mold of a modern NFL QB.

Eliminate another preseason game, add another bye week and maybe expand the game day roster.

My List Starts With Chuck Foreman

First prospect I ever “scouted”. I absolutely knew if he got him we’d be back after a 7-7 year Fran’s first year back. Knew it in my bones. But I can’t bump anyone on this list.

Thankfully he’s been stellar in FA and UDFAs. Hiring KOC was a pretty good move too. Retaining Brez and McCardell were also excellent moves.

But he needs JJ and Turner to pan out, Reichard and Addison to continue to perform at high levels and to nail this draft but good.

Continuing to hit on value FAs appears to be sustainable as he’s excellent at it and the cap will pierce the $300 million barrier next year if not nearly $310 million. But hitting picks is a better and cheaper route.

Replace Grigson with me and MB, feed us nothing but Cheetos and vodka for the next month and we could nail this draft.

  Ravens extend Harbaugh thru 28

Man, I cant believe he's 62 already!

====================================
The Baltimore Ravens have tied up John Harbaugh through the 2028 season, announcing a three-year extension for their head coach on Friday.

Harbaugh, 62, was entering the final year of his current contract. The Ravens have never let him start a regular season on the final year of his contract since he was hired in 2008.

He is the Ravens' all-time winningest head coach with a 185-115 record over 17 seasons. Harbaugh guided the Ravens to a Super Bowl title in 2012, and his 12 playoff berths are the second most in the league behind Andy Reid (14) since the season he was hired.

Harbaugh is the second-longest-tenured NFL coach behind the Steelers' Mike Tomlin, who completed his 18th season in Pittsburgh. No other coach has been with his current team for more than 12 years.

I mean, we’re all wondering why he’s not signed yet. Maybe parameters are set?

  Parsons eyeing historic contract extension...
Posted by: purplefaithful - 03-28-2025, 03:56 PM - Forum: The Longship - Replies (1)

Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons is reportedly seeking to become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, according to the Dallas Morning News' Calvin Watkins.

Parsons is expected to ask for $200 million total and more than $40.25 million per season on his next contract, according to Watkins.

Watkins reported that the Cowboys and Parsons' agents have not had "serious talks" about an extension since the February NFL scouting combine.

Parsons is currently is currently signed through the 2025 season with a $24 million club option, but could potentially hold out from training camp if not offered a new deal.

Watkins reported that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has "had extensive talks with Parsons about his contract," but that Jones "is in no rush to get a deal completed" while watching how the rest of free agencyplays out.

T.J. Watt could be the next player to impact the defensive market as he prepares to enter the final season of his current contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett set the non-quarterback contract record earlier this offseason by setting the market for edge rushers with his four-year, $160 million deal.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase quickly broke that standard with his $161 million contract.

According to Watkins, Parsons hopes to surpass both with his next deal. He will turn 26 in May, while Garrett will celebrate his 30th birthday in December, which could bolster his argument to earn more than his Browns counterpart.
