Kinda OT: Vikings Colors for Brad Keselowski Sunday Night
Posted by: Zanary - 05-16-2025, 09:01 PM - Forum: The Longship - No Replies

So...auto racing is one of the ways I survive between football seasons, and I follow several series.
The NASCAR All-Star Race is this weekend, and some special paint (wrap) schemes have resulted...including the one for Brad Keselowski's Mustang (#6):

I know it's for sponsor "Solomon Plumbing", but it almost couldn't look more like a Vikings tribute car.

That's a big piece of property in the suburbs with access to major roadways...but it's not where the Bears belong.

Caleb Williams wanted to play for the #Vikings following his draft combine interview with Kevin O’Connell, his father revealed via @SethWickersham’s book. After the meeting, Williams “began to dream of what it would be like to play for Minnesota.”

Caleb: “I need to go to the #Vikings.”

Caleb’s father: “Let’s do it.”

The only option for avoiding Chicago and getting to Minnesota, Wickersham wrote, was for the Williamses to publicly attack the idea. But Caleb Williams said: "I wasn't ready to nuke the city." The Vikings wound up with J.J. McCarthy, and oh by the way, the teams will play Week 1. According to Caleb Williams father in a book written by
@SethWickersham he didn’t want his son to play for the #Bears. He apparently considered the possibility for his son to sign with the UFL and become an unrestricted NFL free agent in 2025 to be able to pick a team

  D.Jackson signed
Posted by: purplefaithful - 05-15-2025, 10:53 AM - Forum: The Longship - Replies (2)

The Vikings’ entire draft class is under contract.

The team announced it agreed to terms with first-round pick Donovan Jackson on Wednesday night, finalizing a four-year deal with the Ohio State guard.

Jackson, the 24th pick in the draft, would be in line to receive a signing bonus of $9.132 million, according to Over the Cap. His entire contract would be worth $17.177 million over the next four years, with a salary cap number of $3.123 million in 2025.

The team agreed to terms with the other four players in its draft class — wide receiver Tai Felton, defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, linebacker Kobe King, and tight end Gavin Bartholomew — before the start of its rookie minicamp last week.
