We may see that early, both getting some similar reps....but it won't last too long. Howell is a superior QB period. Rypien is going to know the offense much better, so that is a plus but honestly if the team felt like Rypien was worthy, why trade for Howell? Rypien has played sparingly in his career and the limited stats aren't close to good. KOC will have his little 'competition' because that's creating something I guess, but its a foregone conclusion.

The first practice of #Falcons OTAs is now underway and Kirk Cousins is not on the field. Cousins has made clear he wants to play elsewhere in 2025.

Came to Appleton Wisconsin from Hawaii a couple of days ago. My mother-in-law has been in hospice and she passed Sunday afternoon.

Probably only interesting to draftniks, but PFF just did a redraft of the 2009 draft. To me, redrafts provide a good reminder of just how much of a crapshoot the draft really is. And why rankings that fall outside of conventional wisdom should not be dismissed. To illustrate this, if the 2025 draft follows the 2009 draft, the players taken this year will rank as follows in a redraft down the road. 

1. Cam Ward (1)
2. James Pearce (26)
3. Benjamin Morrison (53)
4. Kenneth Grant (13)
5. Demetrius Wright (49)
6. Hunter Wohler (232)
etc...

Nowhere in the 1st round is any player actually taken between 2 and 8. That is like doing a redraft 16 years from now and Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty, Armond Membou do not go in the 1st round. While seven 2nd rounders do, as do a handful of day 3 players. Two undrafted players go in the top 12.

"The Minnesota Vikings will have their voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs) from May 27-28, May 30, June 2-3, June 5, June 9-10, and June 12. Additionally, they will have mandatory minicamp from June 16-18th."

It'll be good to see some of the team together out there as we soon hit a dry spell for sports in mid June to mid July. Having a really hot start to summer down here in south Florida....Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift just bought a house in a place right next to where I live in Boca called Royal Palm, so that's been the talk around the 'hood. They ate at a place in West Palm called Harry's the other day. I'm sure Travis and I will be kicking it soon, I'll post pics. BTW, we had a mini discussion here a few weeks ago on smash burgers: just had the BEST one I've ever had at a place yesterday in Delray Beach called Avalon Beach House. Unreal. Potato bun seared with butter/salt and a double stack of melty goodness with cooked down sweet caramelized onions. Holy shit, so good.
